Meet JT

A graduate of the University of Minnesota-Duluth with his Bachelor’s in Accounting and in Finance, JT (Jonathan Thiel) has been working in public accounting since 2007 and has been a licensed and active CPA in Minnesota since 2010.  Before opening his own practice, he was a Tax Senior at Redpath and Company, Ltd. in St. Paul.  As a Tax Senior, he assisted clients with tax planning and compliance and prepared individual tax returns and business tax returns, including pass-through entities (partnerships and S-Corporations) and C-Corporations, in a variety of industries. Prior to working in the tax department, he audited privately held businesses, governmental entities and employee benefit plans. In addition to his other experience, he has assisted clients with monthly, quarterly and year-end accounting work and multi-state tax compliance.

JT is originally from Outing, MN and his wife, Stephanie, is from Virginia, MN.  They both attended college at the University of Minnesota-Duluth and met after they moved to the cities through mutual friends playing softball in 2010.  They got married in 2012 and have two beautiful girls, Sadie and Addie.  As a family, they enjoy getting out on the lake, golfing, coaching their girls' sports teams, playing and watching all sports and getting together with their friends.
